Scamps & Champs has just welcomed another franchisee to its network. Sonia Rosenblatt will be providing services in the Hampstead region of North-West London and is looking forward to launching her business before the end of the year. When her contract in the public sector ended, Sonia knew it was time to look for an opportunity that combined her passion for animals and the flexibility she desired. As luck would have it, she came across Scamps & Champs.
Sonia believes that animal welfare goes far beyond making sure animals are fed and watered. Animals want love and attention and engage in activities they are born to do. She’s looking to make a difference to the lives of pets by ensuring that they are given the highest standard of care. A huge part of wanting to become a business owner and becoming a Scamps & Champs franchisee is the desire to provide helpful information to pet owners on issues they may be unaware of.
“I’ve always wanted to work with animals and my dream of becoming a vet never materialised. Until I found the Scamps & Champs opportunity, I didn’t think there was a way to make a living from looking after animals other than being a vet. I let my head rule my heart and I found myself working in the financial services and public sectors. After 15 years of working in environments where independent thought was not encouraged, I decided that it was time to work in an area I felt passionate about. I came across Scamps & Champs at exactly the right time. I had considered becoming an RSPCA investigator but I knew that seeing first-hand the results of animal abuse would be too harrowing. Still, making a difference in animals’ lives is of paramount importance to me. With this business, I know I will be able to make small changes in my own way. I will be able to bring pet care services to meet the ever-growing demand and I hope to build a following through my business by providing helpful information to my clients on a range of pet care issues.”
“I was a little nervous about running my own business but I think that’s normal. I am finally working for myself and spending my days doing something I love. Whether it’s walking through woodland with dogs who are just as delighted to be outside or being greeted by a purring feline who soaks up the attention – my joy knows no bounds. It’s a far cry from spending hours in front of a computer, a life I desperately wanted to leave behind. At the same time, I know that my clients are happy in the knowledge that their beloved pet is being well cared for, no matter if it’s just for an hour or for several weeks.”
Scamps & Champs provides a wide range of pet services to the local community. From dog walking to home boarding and pet sitting, franchisees provide flexible or occasional services to suit each customer’s needs. The franchise can provide a full-time or part-time income depending on your own goals and desires, whether you want to take on the work yourself or employ a full team to help to become even more profitable. Scamps & Champs is a business that will fit around your lifestyle to help you achieve a better work-life balance while building a career you can enjoy.
“To mark Sonia joining the Scamps & Champs team, we have sponsored a kennel for one year at Many Tears Animal Rescue. We do this for every franchisee that comes on board. Having someone like Sonia within our network will be a huge asset to the network and we are looking forward to having her on board and seeing what she can achieve. Her passion for animals and for this business goes far beyond simply taking a dog for an hour’s walk. She’s passionate about animal welfare and will go above and beyond to make sure the animals in her care are properly cared for”, explains Lesley Regan, Founder of Scamps & Champs.
